About the Event
We will be starting out this ride at the Sandtown Motorcycle Trail system near Engadine, MI. From Sandtown, there is also a connector trail, the Newberry-Rexton Motorcycle Trail. This will take you over to the Brevort-Trout Lake Motorcycle Trail. This would be a ways to ride, but can be done. Or, we will trailer over to the Brevort Trails, which is about a 45-minute drive. In the past, we have riden Sandtown and a portion of the connector trail (out and back).
The Sandtown trails are a cross between Paul Bunyan and Huntersville trails for terrain. Soil type is more like Huntersville. It does not live up to it's name, not terribly sandy.
Depending on how things go, we may stop and ride Moss Lake on the way home.

Trail information can be found here: https://www.michigan.gov/dnr/things-to-do/orv-riding/maps-list
Michigan Permit and License are needed for riding the trials. You can buy these online and have them mailed to you, or you can buy them at a local gas station. More information can be found here: https://www.michigan.gov/dnr/things-to-do/orv-riding/permits-and-requirements
Some of us will be arriving at Sandtown on Thursday afternoon/evening and plan on camping at the trailhead. There is a vault toilet there, but no water.
